Maybe an Etsy shop?
This has been such as amazing project to be a part of. I worked on two separate projects with two primary schools both in Chester - JH Godwin Primary School and Belgrave Primary School. The projects were based on the history of Chester; the history of the rows and Chester Port and I managed to use felting in both projects.
Making the Beast headdress and 5 wolf puppets with my students, it's hard work but what a treat, especially when the students are so amazing. I can't seem to escape my puppet making days (which I am very happy about). Can't wait to see the show.
I have been felt making in the community, doing lots of different projects including landscapes, mini vessels, baubles and mushrooms. Wet and needle felting with me but there are other workshops too; macramé, sculpting and creative writing...all for free. This is a lottery funded initiative to get the community together and it has. The place is buzzing every week and the tea and cake adds to the magical atmosphere.
By far one of my most favourite makes in recent years. I revisited my old work place and created a Toto puppet for the school's musical, The Wizard of Oz.
For this years' open studios I joined the North Wales Feltmakers in Rhuddlan, North Wales. I also joined other artists in an exhibition at Gallery 22 in Chester in March/April 2023.
